About me

Hi, I’m Amber, momma to 4 boys and wife to my high school sweetheart. We moved from city to farm life in 2020. Our lives are centered around raising our 4 boys hence how the name 4r4farm came about. Upon moving towards our farm life I stumbled upon a Pro-Metabolic course. It felt like the perfect time to learn this information as we were moving towards having a dairy cow and grass-fed pasture-raised animals. I remember feeling so elated I learned about all this new information at the right time.

Let me backtrack just a minute. I never really had a problem with weight other than the typical pregnancy weight gain. I always found some new diet or over-exercising regimen to get the weight off. Constantly dieting, undereating, and overworking out, it became a pattern I had come accustomed to. It wasn’t until I learned about the pro-metabolic lifestyle that I truly realized why I was always needing to go on a diet to maintain and keep the weight off. After I learned the wealth of information I decided to dive right in. I didn’t have a clear direction but went full force on incorporating different foods and eating more than ever. I was told you would gain “healing” weight. It was part of the process after constantly undereating and having your body in a state of stress your body would need to hold onto weight until it felt comfortable and safe. Well, I bought into that full force and before I knew it I was 30 pounds heavier and unhappier with myself than I have ever been. I didn’t want to give up the way of eating cause I in a long time felt a sense of freedom with food that I had yet to experience.

I let the stress of being overweight get to me more and more. I began to undereat and over workout again cause I couldn’t deal with it anymore. Luckily before I got too far into this same pattern I came across a nutrition review and training program (IG @taperedbodies). This program became my game-changer. I started to workout less and made simple changes to my diet and before I knew it the fat was coming off. I was still eating in a way that I aligned with while still being able to make progress. I began sharing my journey on Instagram and food breakdowns. I received a great amount of positive feedback and found a whole new community of people in the same predicament I had been in. I realized there was such a need for meal plans and simplified eating changes for the everyday person.

This is how Mindful Meals Made Easy came about. I wanted to really simplify and visually break down food, balancing meals, macros, and everything in between.
